November 1st – 3rd: Bareboat Cruising Course to Cape Lookout

Now offering opportunities for all sailors, and all levels of experience on our spacious 3 state room beautiful Catalina 42. You’ll be able to skipper a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered keelboat of approximately 42 feet in length during a multi-day cruise traveling to Cape Lookout in moderate to heavy winds (up to 30 knots) and sea conditions.

Enjoy gaining knowledge of provisioning, galley operations, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, routine maintenance procedures, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation including basic chart plotting and GPS operation, multiple-anchor mooring, docking, health & safety, emergency operations, weather interpretation, and dinghy/tender operation.

If you choose to get your American Sailing Association certification later, you may take the required prerequisites. This course is two full days and nights aboard with an experienced, highly qualified USCG licensed captain certified by the American Sailing Association. All our instructors want to assure everyone enjoys their sailing experience and feels confident to handle this boat.
