School Groups: Overview

We have been working with school groups of all ages from all parts of the country for over 10 years. Over time we have seen many young boys and girls learn a lot more than just how to sail and boat handling. Many life lessons surface and are learned through the process of our programs. Team building and self-confidence being at the top of the list followed by problem solving, creativity, and pride.

Our groups enjoy the great outdoors side by side with friends and classmates. We are located on the banks of Smith Creek which is a peaceful little creek just off the Neuse River in Oriental North Carolina. We have the perfect place to spend a day, weekend or week doing many activities. We offer motor boating, sailing, fishing, kayaking, and camping.

Our qualified staff can instruct, assist, and participate as much or as little as needed. Some groups such as high school, college and university sailing teams come to just use our boats and facilities while others like the Boy & Girl Scouts of America, several Montessori and youth groups enjoy the full benefit of our services with hands-on instruction.

Our teaching style is that we put safety first, we want everyone to have fun and we know all that participate will learn something. We can design your activity according to your group needs and ability. Housing is available if needed as well as meal programs. We would like to invite your group to plan an experience with us and look forward to discussing this opportunity.
