High School Sailing Team &
Middle School JV Sailing Team.
This program is designed for Middle and High School students and designed for new and experienced sailors who which to focus on racing. Emphasis will be put on everything racing: on the water drills, games, and instruction, “classroom” discussion about rules, tactics, and strategies, and shore side activities including games, teambuilding, and conditioning.
The day will consist of time for teambuilding activity, training time, and debriefing. We will also provide a healthy snack. All activities will be dependent weather, age group, experience, and time available.
We plan to have some sort of racing event each month. In September will be participating in the Green’s Creek Challenge . (follow the link to find out more about the event. BtS Teams will receive a discount)
Participants need to bring: change of clothes, water shoes, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, clothes that can get wet, and water shoes that won’t come off your feet. An area will be available for participants to leave belongings from day to day. USCG Life jackets will be provided.
Activities will be supervised by well qualified staff and USCG Licensed Captains.
Pick-up will be at Bow to Stern Boating – 290 Blackwell Point Loop Rd., Oriental.
Full Day programs will be available on some full day holidays at an additional fee. Early dismissal days will be included in the monthly rates.
Weekend regattas and other activities will be scheduled which may include an extra fee for transportation, housing, food, and coaching.
